I think there is a collective mind already, albeit with much of it unconscious. The Buddhist concept of interdependence, as I've been reading, points to a unity of the sum of our thoughts, actions, words. How do we make the unconscious conscious? As one writer said, it is not my responsibility what another does, nor is it right to abandon the work of trying to influence or assist others. To come to the present times, I'm wondering whether the whole information infrastructure we are building, acts in a way as training wheel until humanity learns to ride on it's own. That said, first we need to understand that there is a bicycle which we can ride.
