On the road to wisdom, we sometimes forget the basics.
Often, truth is hidden in the most unexpected places, but we've forgotten how to play hide-and-seek. The child within us knows, though. Allow it to roam in the woods!
It's the first day of the new year, and while in introspective and transitioning mode, here's a reminder from Jack Kerouac to ponder.

Am interested in when / where this POV entered civilisation trajectories. It is more common to refer to the venerable, the knowledgeable, the skilled, or as we say these days, 'experts', and to look for 'authority'?
